The Finlayson area on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids is part of the Finnish national scenery. The Finlayson textile factories were once the pride of all Finnish industry and a significant employer. They were also the first to use electric light. The tour begins in the Finlayson area. Our group gathers in the lobby of the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas, where the group is welcomed by the museum’s own guide.
