17.09.2020

Here are the best tips for autumn holiday in Tampere. The city has lots of great activities, museums, nature destinations and places to stay for families!

Please note that this article will updated until the autumn holiday week.

Creepy autumn!

The Creepy Carnival in Särkänniemi is coming again – and it’s creepier than ever! The most terrifyingly entertaining event of the autumn takes place in Särkänniemi  from 10th of October to 17th of October.

The Creepy Carnival gets its inspiration from exotic carnival culture and night time fairs. In October, you get to experience Särkänniemi and its beautifully lit amusement park rides in the atmospheric twilight darkness of autumn evenings. The Creepy Carnival is an event for all ages!

Museum Centre Vapriikki organizes horror tours for children to Teatterikaupunki exhibition and the Natural History museum during autumn break.

Adventure time and great views!

Now you can also experience the Roof Walk Finlayson Area at dark! Panorama Deck route is suitable for the whole family. The City View route is a guided tour and must be booked in advance. Because the route travels on walkways without railings, each participant must be over 140 cm tall and wear a safety harness that is connected to a safety wire.

Another great way to explore the Finlayson area Unfold Finlayson adventure. This adventure is a mixture of innovative problem solving, fascinating places and beautiful views overlooking the city as well as Lake Näsijärvi. If you’re looking for a memorable experience while in town – look no futher! The game is not recommended for children under 12.

If you love escape rooms, the place to visit is Room Escape. All the rooms are suitable for the whole family and they are not scary at all.

Sports, outdoor activities and dance!

In Varala children and families can have fun and active times in sport camps.

In Flowpark Varala you can climb trees at daytime and moonlight! Flowpark is open 14.10.-18.10 from 12 to 18.

Head out to the nature! Autumn is the best time to pack up your lunch and get to know Lauhavuori – Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark

Have you tried on a mermaid tail or played water basketball? The swimming bath Kuohu in Kangasala has many activities for all ages from 12th of October to 17th of October.
