City Trains operates Monday-Saturday June 3 – August 10 2019 at 10-16. City trains do not operate Sundays, midsummer eve and midsummer day. Weather conditions permitting.
The City Train tour begins from Hotel Ilves at every hour starting at 10 am. This green train with Finnish / English audio guide tells you everything for only 7 € / day and children (under 15 years old) 5 € / day, ticket being valid the whole day. You can hop off at any stop (or all of them) for more exploring, and take the next train in 50-60 minutes! Explore the stops and the route here.
The guided tour takes our visitors around the exhibitions at Museum Milavida. The guide gives the participants interesting information about the exhibitions in compact form. The tour takes an hour and is included in the museum ticket.
The Nottbecks exhibition presents the glamorous and international lifestyle of the Nottbeck family, the owners of Finlayson cotton mill. The Nottbecks lived in Tampere from the 1830s until the early 20th century when the last members of the family leave the city after years filled with both success and sad losses. The enthralling exhibition combines impressive authentic objects and modern audiovisual technology. Read more.

The Moomin Museum offers free guided tours in English every Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm. They can take 20 persons on the tour. The tour is included in the ticket price: Adults 12 €, children 6 € (3-17 years), under 3-year old for free, family ticket 30 € (2 adults and 2-4 children). NB! The museum is closed 21.–23.6.2019.
When and how did people use to live? Visit Tampere workers’ homes and learn the lifestories of their fictional residents from a period of almost a century at the Amuri Museum of Workers’ Housing. Guided tour in English every Sunday in June, July and August at 12 am, included in the ticket price. Adults 8 €, children (7 to 17 year-olds) and students 3 €, familyticket (2 adults and 1-4 children) 17 €. Duration 1,5 hrs.
