Finland’s tallest hotel offers comfort levels that pierce the clouds

  • Tallest hotel in Finland situated in a great location

  • 305 modern rooms

  • 14 adaptable conference rooms for events of up to 700 people

  • A unique blend of 140-year-old locomotive hangars and a new tower hotel

  • Three restaurants and a roof terrace with views over the city

Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere offers an entirely new kind of hotel experience right in the city centre. Situated next to the railway station and by excellent traffic connections, Finland’s tallest hotel has become a new skyline landmark. The unique building blends an 88-metre tower hotel, completed in 2014, with locomotive hangars dating back over 140 years. The handprints of several local partners are visible all over the hotel, adding to the hotel’s already rich and unique story.

When a guest arrives at the hotel, or in Tampere for that matter, they are met with a relaxed atmosphere that loves individuality. The hotel has 305 modern rooms. The services of the city centre are right next door and there is a short covered path to the stores of the Tullintori shopping centre and its 600 parking spaces.

The hotel’s unique conference and event rooms are suited for both large corporate events and smaller, more intimate negotiations. The new side of the hotel contains four conference rooms and Paja Kongressi in the locomotive hangars offers 10 adaptable conference rooms for events of up to 700 guests. Visio Klubi on the 17th floor offers a workspace with great views that professionals are sure to appreciate.

The three restaurants of Solo Sokos Hotel Torni allow guests to choose the menu and ambience that best suits their tastes. On the street level, Paja Bar is a place for mingling where some of the design ideas have been gleaned from Popeda, Eppu Normaali, Yö and Jonne Aaron, all legends of the Tampere rock scene. Also on the street level, Grill it! offers high-quality treats from a charcoal grill. Moro Sky Bar, the first sky bar in Tampere, is situated on the hotel’s 25th floor and it has become a must-see scenic destination for both tourists and locals. Moro Sky Bar with its popular terrace is the highest-elevated bar in Finland. In addition to the city and lake landscape of Tampere, the city and its culture are present in the hotel in the form of the Wall of Heroes commemorating Olympic winners from Tampere. Local art has also claimed its space on each floor of the hotel as Torni Galleria presents the largest art exhibit in the Nordic countries: the hallways and rooms of each floor are dedicated to displaying the works of one artist from Pirkanmaa.
