Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra with Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali are here to perform again in the long awaited and requested Park Concert – but this year virtually! The traditional Park Concert will move from Sorsapuisto to Tampere Hall’s stage, where it will be broadcast live via Yle Areena to the audience. So you can enjoy the concert wherever you are. The event take’s place on August 8.
TampereRaw-festival of video concerts: “For bees and beings” June 12-14. TampereRaw-festival draws its inspiration from Finnish contemporary music and cultural sites of Pirkanmaa. Sites, which have been closed for the audience this spring, but can be virtually visited during our festival. Besides the new music pieces, six concerts also present the artists and exciting spaces and artworks of Tampere-talo, Cultural House Laikku, Laukko Mansion and Himmelblau gallery. On Facebook event page you will find links to the series of six concerts starting Friday 12.6 – Sunday 14.6. The recordings can be found on TampereRaw’s YouTube channel for the following two months.
One of the greatest operas of all times, Carmen by Georges Bizet, highlights Tampere Opera’s production in 2020. The opera is directed by Marco Bjurström. Enjoy watching it from your sofa on YLE Areena.
Kaija Saariaho’s amazing La Passion de Simon can be watched on YLE Areena starting from April 10th. You can watch it outside Finland as well!
Serious and Tragic, the concert of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra was recorded in the Tampere Hall on March, 13th and can now be enjoyed online by all classical music lovers.
The series of Philharmonic’s chamber concerts offer musical experiences in the intimate atmosphere of the Small Auditorium of Tampere Hall. The concert series consists of nine episodes and you can watch them on the Youtube-channel of Tampere Pilharmonic Orchestra and on the website.
Stayin’ Alive Festival is a combined effort of two prestigious venues in Finland: Tullikamari Tampere and 45 Special Oulu. The two day live stream festival include live performances from both venues by some of the greatest Finnish artists and bands. The entire festival was broadcasted on June 12-13 and is now available for free on the festivals’ homepage.
