Iso-Vuorijärvi is a wonderful hiking place where you can admire the steep hanging cave and relax in the silence of the wilderness. The place is diverse in nature and there are many types of nature along the route. There are rocky stretches that are demanding to walk and a smoother path through the nature reserve. The landscape is particularly beautiful and rich in species. The area was renovated last year and the place is worth experiencing! Welcome to hike in the peace of nature! The route has two fire pits and a lean-to shelter. Not maintained in winter.
The Iso-Vuorijärvi hiking trail is located west of the main road 66 from Orivesi to Ruovesi, about 13 km north of Orivesi. There is a signpost on the left along Virtaintie, which reads Vuorijärvi. It is about 5 km from the starting point of the route. The starting point of Iso-Vuorijärvi is at Rutajärventie 180, 35300 Orivesi.
