Fly to Tampere

Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is very conveniently located. It takes only 20 minutes by car from the Tampere city centrum to the airport. As a compact airport everything also works well and quickly. The airport also has an excellent snowhow, so weather is rarely an issue here. Read more about the flight connections.

There is also a bus connection to and from the airport. The route passes through the train station and bus station in the city center. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes.

The line 103 has connections for both departing and arriving flights. The bus departs from Tampere about two hours before the departure of the flight. The bus will be waiting for passengers arriving at the flight. If the flight is delayed, the bus will wait for passengers within the limits allowed by the bus schedules. Taxis are on call at the taxi stand in front of the airport in accordance with flight schedules. You can also order one for example from Tampereen Aluetaksi.

Arrive by train

Getting to Tampere by train from anywhere in Finland is easy. From Helsinki Airport the journey takes 1,5 hours. Tampere train station is located near many hotels, Tampere Hall and Nokia Arena.

How to get around in Tampere?

Tampere is a very walkable city and in 15 minutes you can walk anywhere in the city centrum. With public transport you can travel by tram or bus. The new tram line offers you a punctual and an extremely comfortable way to get around Tampere. The buses will also take you further to Tampere and region.
