Jämi is a tourist center that brings together activities and nature experiences available in the area. Local companies provide individual travellers and groups exciting experiences ranging from climbing to flying, hammock relaxation and snow golf.
Hämeenkangas is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The large woodlands have a network of hundreds of kilometres of paths, cycling routes, ski tracks and dog sledding routes. Hämeenkangas, maintained by the forest authority Metsähallitus, is used for military exercises and other activities. The Defence Forces use Hämeenkangas as an exercise area, so at certain times troops will move around there.
