Del LaGrace Volcano – tour and dialog at the Art Museum

Meet Del LaGrace Volcano, the artist of the current exhibition Bodies of Resistance, at the Tampere Art Museum. The artist will guide the audience through the exhibition at 3:30 p.m. and Eliza Steinbock’s dialogue with Volcano begins at 4:30 p.m.

Del LaGrace Volcano, who was born in California, is a photographic artist, performer and activist. Volcano has pursued a long and productive career depicting and participating in various queer subcultures and communities and engaging in the activism associated with them. For decades now, Volcano’s photographs have had a considerable and, for many viewers, a personal significance in challenging norms and enriching the imagery of sexuality, gender and corporeality.
