Friendship Skating Event

The field at Sorsapuisto turns into a happy venue on Sunday, when Tampere sports services and youth services together with their partners organize a Friendship Skating Event, which is available to everyone. The program from 14:00 to 17:00 includes wonderful performances by figure skaters from Tappara and Koovee, guided skating lessons and technique and skill courses. You can also skate freely on the artificial ice to the beat of the music, and if you don’t have your own skates, you can borrow skates free of charge from the pop up Golden Skate! -stand.

There are activities both on and off the ice, and with the guidance of physical education instructors, you can try out small games and sport trials, and get to know the youth services’ activity points. The free event features the mascots Tapsu and Ipa, and there are other animal characters for the children to enjoy.  Music is played by DJ Juissi.
