As the warm August evenings grow darker, what could be better than dancing to live music?
On Thursday, August 29th, the energetic band Grupo Kaney will take the stage at Laikunlava, guaranteed to get everyone on their feet!
Grupo Kaney was founded in 2007. Their captivating sound is created by blending bass, trombone, various percussion instruments, and piano. With Colombian Alberto Mera, musicians from Venezuela, Nicaragua, Finland, and Cuba joined the band. For the past five years, the band’s bassist has been Grammy winner Carlos del Puerto.
Originally, the band played more traditional salsa and merengue, but now their repertoire includes other well-known salsa and Latin rhythms. Grupo Kaney is known for its energetic live performances!
