The Finnish women’s national football team, known as Helmarit, will make their debut at Tammela Stadium in Tampere on Tuesday, June 4th, when the Netherlands visits Finland for a UEFA European Championship qualifying match. The match kicks off at 7:00 PM.

Last autumn, Helmarit won their group in the Nations League B and earned promotion to League A. The winners and runners-up of the A-League in the European Championship qualifiers will secure direct qualification to the European Championship finals to be held in Switzerland in the summer of 2025. Teams finishing third and fourth in their groups will compete in playoff matches for a chance to qualify.

The European Championship qualifiers follow the same competition format as the UEFA Nations League. Teams are divided into three leagues based on their Nations League performance. In Leagues A and B, 16 teams are split into four groups of four, while in League C, 19 teams are divided into four groups of four and one group of three.
