Nearly 60 musicians take over the stage at Kangasala Arts Centre as the joint tour of Jyväskylä Big Band and the Kipinät choir kicks off in Kangasala. The ensemble performs arrangements of swingin’ jazz and Latin songs originally crafted for the New York Voices vocal group.

The choir and big band delight the audience with their harmonious collaboration, along with a selection of jazz-infused programs unique to both groups. Ilkka Mäkitalo leads the Jyväskylä Big Band, and Kipinät is directed by Kaisa Halmemies.

The performance lasts approximately 2 hours, including an intermission.
