At Laikku’s Pre-Christmas party, you can enjoy beautiful Christmas music and make Christmas cards to delight senior citizens during the holiday season.

Trio Sointu will perform two concerts in the Music Hall (3rd floor) at 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Both concerts will last approximately 30 minutes and feature the same program. Trio Sointu will perform atmospheric Christmas music with an acoustic flute, violin, and cello ensemble, which will get the audience in the mood for celebration and a sense of community. The Music Hall can accommodate 100 listeners, and seats will be filled in order of arrival.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Lecture Hall (2nd floor), there will be a non-stop Christmas card workshop where you can make Christmas cards for your loved ones and for elderly people you don’t know as part of the nationwide Christmas Mail for Seniors campaign. All the materials you need to make cards will be provided at the Christmas card workshop, which will be led by Assi Piironen. The Christmas cards made for elderly strangers will be distributed to clients of home care and housing services for the elderly in the Tampere area. The nationwide Christmas Mail for Seniors campaign is organized by the creative community Siskot ja Simot ry. Read more about the campaign.

The Christmas card workshop will also serve glogg and gingerbread cookies to the first 80 crafters (gluten-free gingerbread cookies are also available).
