Susijengi made their debut at their 2025 European Championship home venue, Tampere’s Nokia Arena, in August 2022 with a victorious World Cup qualifier against Israel. Last August, Lauri Markkanen, Sasu Salin, and their teammates defeated a powerful Lithuania 81–79 in a memorable night, thanks to Mikael Jantunen’s last-second tip-in. The thrilling match was witnessed by a record crowd of 13,054 spectators at Nokia Arena in a sold-out evening in Tampere.
