The Tampere Biennale Festival crosses all musical boundaries. Our festival concert features the premiere of composer couple Sanna Ahvenjärvi and Tapio Lappalainen’s commission piece Water, the first of four orchestral works that address climate change. The piece illustrates the importance, vulnerability, beauty and abyss of water.
Young star conductor Taavi Oramo is also known as a singer and composer of electronic music. Guitarist Ismo Eskelinen’s repertoire spans from the 1500s to the modern day. He has been lauded for his renditions of Bach’s music as well as modern pieces.
The concert ends at approximately 9.00 pm.
