Tampere Biennale presents the most important phenomena of Finnish contemporary music, the most current composers, and the newest compositions. The event, held every two years since 1986, was originally born out of the need to showcase the music of Finnish living composers and to inspire the audience to explore new music. Over the years, the festival has evolved into one of Finland’s most respected contemporary music events.
