Join us for a joyful parade and the official start of the Christmas season at Keskustori on Saturday afternoon! This beloved annual event brings the community together with festive sights and sounds.

The Christmas Parade kicks off on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at 4:00 PM from the Metso Main Library, winding through Hämeenpuisto and Kauppakatu before arriving at Keskustori. This year’s parade features a record number of participants, including, for instance, Santa Claus, dancing elves and furry friends.

At Keskustori, enjoy a cozy stage program with the Christmas tree lighting, a speech by Riikka Töytäri, Executive Director of Tampere Tunnetuksi ry, and performances by Santa Claus and the Tampere University Choir.

The Old Church, part of the Christmas Market, and local restaurants will be open for visitors. After the program, Santa and furry friends move to Laikku Park for greetings and photos.

The event will be hosted by Ronja Alatalo, a local Christmas enthusiast. Please note: some city center streets will be closed for the parade. We recommend arriving on foot or by public transport.
