Emil Aaltonen Museum

Guided tours for the public at 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00. The duration of the guide is about half an hour.

Coffee cart in the yard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cafe is run by the students of the Sasky Tampere.

In honor of Tampere Day, the Lenin Museum has free entry all day. The Lenin Museum tells about the shared history of Finland and the Soviet Union from the beginning of the 20th century until the collapse of the Soviet Union and Putin’s Russia.

Spy Museum

During the Tampere days, the museum’s admission ticket also includes the highly popular public guide to the world of espionage.

Guide times: Sat 1.10. – Sun 2.10. at 1 pm and 4 pm.

Hiekka Art Museum

The Hiekka Art Museum celebrates Tampere’s birthday on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. by offering admission tickets at a reduced price of €4 (Museum card also works, children under 7 free). The home museum founded by Kultaseppä Kustaa Hiekka in 1931 is today the oldest private art museum in Finland and the first building in Tampere designed for museum use.

Fire stations

It is possible to get to know both Keskus Fire Station and Hervanna Fire Station at the open house event on Sunday, October 2. between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Among other things, there will be a presentation of the equipment and an issue about safety.

In Koskikeskus Keskuaukio, face painting and balloons are available for children. On Saturday, Varala’s sports college will also present its activities from 12 to 4 p.m.

Näsinneula

In honor of Tampere Day, you can get two for the price of one to admire the scenery at the observation tower. During Neula Sky Cafe’s opening hours, with a ticket you can also get a cup of coffee, tea or juice or a discount on a glass of sparkling wine from the cafe.

The open doors of the Tramway depot in Tampere

At the open doors of the Tramway depot in Tampere, it is possible to get to know the Tramway storage and maintenance hall and the machines related to tramway maintenance. At the event, listeners can talk about Tramway’s creators and also hear about Tramway’s future plans.

It is recommended to arrive at the event by public transport.

Tampere Theatre

This year alone, during Tampere Day, the public has a unique opportunity to tour the theater building in the fairy-tale magical world of the Anastasia musical. The audience can see the musical’s wonderful costumes, sets and technology presented by theater professionals. The tours are organized at 11, 11:30, 12, 12:30. Round ticket sales are in the lower hall of the theater from 10:30 am. The tour is not barrier-free.

Pirkanmaa Film Center

Katoavaa Tamperetta is a Tampere-themed historical documentary, which has been generally considered the best Tampere-themed documentary from time to time.

Puheenvuoro tells about the meeting of the city council, led by Sanna Marin, which decided on the construction of the tramway.

Big machines Keskustori is a new free public event where big machines and equipment are presented with the help of company experts. The event offers a side program appropriate to the theme at Tampere Keskustori on Saturday 1 October 2022 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Tampere Fish Market

The authentic and original Tampere Fish Market returns after a break of a couple of years to Laukontori at the turn of September-October. There will be fish delicacies, food and crafts from small producers, and live music. Domestic and local fish are celebrated on the event stage. Admission to the event is free.

The open doors of Nääshalli

Nääshalli turns 30 years old this year. The sports venue, which focuses on boxing, weightlifting, several different budo sports, table tennis and fencing, offers coffee to its visitors on an open day in honor of birthday and Tampere Day.

Knit Pirkka on Tampere day in Verkaranta

Taitokeskus Verkaranta celebrates Tampere’s own 50-year-old Pirkka sewing thread on Tampere Day. At the event, a unique festive Pirkka will be launched, which is only available for a limited time. The event also has a pop-up cafe.

German sausages at Tammelantori

In honor of Tampere Day, authentic German Currywurst and Bratwurst portions are served at Tammelantori on September 30. and 1.10. All products are original German: sausages with sauces, mustard and also well-stewed sauerkraut.
