Tampere Festival of Light is an event organized in Tampere every year, when the city is illuminated with various light decorations and works. The first festival was organized in the fall of 1966. At that time, the event lasted 3 weeks. Today in Tampere you can enjoy the light in the middle of the dark time for 4.5 months.

The traditional Light Gallery presents Tove Jansson’s original illustrations in its Moomin and winter exhibition, starting from October 28, 2022. Moominland Midwinter novel is a Moomin novel completed in 1957. Based on the novel, 14 illustrations and one animation are spread as light works on the walls of buildings between Keskustori and Hämeenpuisto.
