#InstaCampTampere reached over a million people - Visit Tampere

#InstaCampTampere reached over a million people

Visit Tampere organized #InstaCampTampere event for social media influencers on December 17-20 2019, for the second time. Five popular Instagram influencers were invited to take part in the camp. The purpose of the camp was to show the world how to enjoy the Finnish nature in every season – even when the day is at its shortest and there’s no snow on the ground.

The camp was hosted by Visit Tampere and one of Finland’s biggest social media influencers, Daniel Taipale. Taipale is making the Finnish nature known internationally and knows the gems of his hometown Tampere, the surrounding areas and the Finnish nature. Camp’s other Finnish reinforcement was Julia Kivelä, internationally acclaimed nature photographer. Instagram campers also included André Baumann (Germany), Johannes Hulsch (Germany) and Alistair Horne (Scotland). All the influencers participating in the camp have a combined number of about a million followers on Instagram. Visit Tampere’s partners in organizing the camp were Visit Finland, Ellivuori Resort and Kupilka

During December and January, the InstaCampers created altogether 34 posts with #Instacamptampere to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. 29 of the posts were on Instagram, four on Facebook and one on TikTok. 15 of the Instagram posts were InstaStories and 14 photo posts. Altogether the posts gathered around 78 000 likes and 1500 comments, and the updates related to the campaign reached over a million viewers in total (excluding the reach on TikTok).

InstaCamp was a success also this time around, and Visit Tampere is planning a new InstaCamp by the end of the year 2020.
