Sorsapuisto fills with flowers for the Moomin Museum Garden Party 10.8.

03.05.2019

Following the first ever Moomin Museum Garden Party in 2018, the event will also be organised this year, on Saturday the 10th of August at 2-9 pm. Honouring Tove Jansson’s birthday and the 2-year anniversary of Moomin Museum, the Garden Party offers food and drinks, musical and theatrical performances, fairytale reading sessions and Moomin animations for people of all ages.

At the Garden Party, you can play mini golf, ride a carousel, go to sauna and hot tub, take pictures with Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden, or find treasures at the fleamarket for Moomin products, along with many other fun activities. Performing live at the event are singer Ilta, whose beautiful voice we also heard on TV in Tähdet, tähdet, and the four-person SuomiLOVE band, led by Osmo Ikonen. The park will have various eating areas and cozy tables for enjoying the delicious foods sold in many booths at the park or for setting up a picnic of your own.

Produced by Moomin Museum, Visit Tampere, Tampere Hall and Events Tampere, the Garden Party aims to attract both Finnish and international friends of the Moomin family to Sorsapuisto. The Garden Party is hosted by TV journalist Salla Paajanen.
