The Gösta Serlachius Art Foundation maintains two museums, both of which are rooted in the history of the Serlachius family, the forest company and the small paper town that collected paper and art.
The Gösta Museum holds a number of varied exhibitions every year and presents pearls from the collections of the Gösta Serlachius Art Foundation, which are among the largest private art collections in the Nordic countries. Art Museum Gösta’s exhibits spread into two buildings: a mansion that was once home to Gösta Serlachius and pavilion which is masterpiece of modern wood architecture.
The Gustaf Museum tells stories. At the former headquarters of Serlachius Corporation the unexpected exhibitions combine with the colorful history and splendid architecture of the house.
The Serlachius museums are easy to reach throughout the year by the Serlachius museum shuttle bus, directly from Tampere city centre!
