Tyrvää Church

Finland’s first church with two towers was built in old Tyrvää, nowadays Sastamala, in 1855. The three altarpieces painted by court painter R.W. Ekman in 1866 are called Crucifixion, Enlightenment and Resurrection. There is a plaster replica of the “Christ” sculpture by Ville Vallgren in the choir.
