{"id":4723,"date":"2020-09-02T04:54:13","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T01:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/uncategorized\/fishing-tips-for-fall\/"},"modified":"2020-09-02T04:54:13","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T01:54:13","slug":"fishing-tips-for-fall","status":"publish","type":"blog","link":"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/articles\/fishing-tips-for-fall\/","title":{"rendered":"Fishing tips for fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"PlainText\">Fall is an excellent season to pack up your fishing gear and head to Tampere Region, also known as &#8220;Zanderland&#8221;!\u00a0<strong>Ismo Kolari\u00a0<\/strong>from<strong>\u00a0Fisheries Centre of the Tampere Region<\/strong>, an expert on the local fishing waters, gave us his <strong>top 5 tips<\/strong> for fall fishing in Tampere and region:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"PlainText\"><strong>1.<\/strong>\u00a0Head to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishinginfinland.fi\/lake_nasijarvi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N\u00e4sij\u00e4rvi lake<\/a>. Zander season is still on, and when the water cools down a bit it&#8217;s the best time for salmon.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"PlainText\"><strong>2.<\/strong>\u00a0Try your luck in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zanderland.fi\/rapids\/rapids.htm#Tammerkoski Rapids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tammerkoski rapids<\/a>. Almost all other rapids destinations in the region are closed for trout protection but in Tammerkoski you can still fish apart from the starting end of the rapids.\u00a0Try for salmon and trout near Kehr\u00e4saari building, around the lowest dam in the rapids. Also try for whitefish with a fly.\u00a0Make sure your trout measures at 40 cm minimum!<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"PlainText\"><strong>3.<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishinginfinland.fi\/lakes_ruovesi_tarjanne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ruovesi\u00a0lake<\/a> is a good water for pike and as the fall season is on, you can also catch zander and perch with a jig. A vertical jig is also good, especially for zander.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"PlainText\"><strong>4.<\/strong> In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishinginfinland.fi\/lakes_kulovesi_rautavesi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kulo-Rautavesi lakes<\/a> you can catch zander and perch with a jig, and maybe some asp and pike as well.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"PlainText\"><strong>5.<\/strong>\u00a0Go to the smaller waters and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zanderland.fi\/lakes\/smallandmediumlakes.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mid-sized lakes<\/a>\u00a0that the region is full of.
