The Moomin Museum is for art lovers and Moomin fans of all ages. The exhibits comprise a unique collection of original Moomin art donated to Tampere Art Museum by Jansson in 1986. The museum visit is completed by the cozy restaurant of the Tampere Hall, Tuhto, as well as the Moomin Museum Reading Room and shop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-8\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/attraction\/museum-centre-vapriikki\/\">Museum Centre Vapriikki<\/a> <\/strong>is located inside an old red brick factory building right by the rapids of Tammerkoski.\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">Vapriikki has lots to explore for the whole family. It is home to\u00a0the <strong>Natural History Museum<\/strong> of Tampere, the <strong>Media Museum Rupriikki<\/strong>, the <strong>Mineral Museum<\/strong>, the<strong> Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame<\/strong>, <strong>Postal Museum<\/strong> and <strong>The Finnish Museum of Games<\/strong>, as well as boasting several changing exhibitions. The <strong>Museum Restaurant Valssi<\/strong> offers buffet lunch from Monday to Friday and if you aren\u2019t quite that hungry grab a sandwich or a Karelian pie from the caf\u00e9. And don\u2019t forget to get souvenirs from the <strong>Museum Shop<\/strong>. If none of these interest you much and you are more into excitement, check out either the <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/attraction\/spy-museum\/\"><strong>Spy Museum<\/strong><\/a> in Siperia commercial hall on the other side of the river, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/attraction\/national-police-museum\/\"><strong>Police Museum<\/strong><\/a> in Hervanta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-9\">How about a bus tour directly from Tampere to the scenic Art Town M\u00e4ntt\u00e4? You can reach the spectacular <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/attraction\/serlachius-in-tampere-region\/\"><strong>Serlachius<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by a direct <strong>Serlachius shuttle bus<\/strong>\u00a0from the centre of Tampere, and in M\u00e4ntt\u00e4 you will find great art experiences, tasty lunch and a lot to see even if it rains!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ai-optimize-10\">Shopping and entertainment<\/h2>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Why break a sweat in the changing rooms on a sunny day when you can use the rainy days for shopping? Head out to <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/shop\/shopping-centre-ratina\/\"><strong>Ratina<\/strong><\/a>, which is right in the city centre of Tampere and has plenty of fun things to do for the whole family. Make sure to pop in to Mini-Ratina playing area if you\u2019re shopping with the young ones.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-12\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Also when in Lemp\u00e4\u00e4l\u00e4, just outside Tampere, there\u2019s a whole shopping city, <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/shop\/ideapark-lempaala\/\"><strong>Ideapark<\/strong><\/a>, waiting for you. Dry shoes guaranteed! (Unless you take the quick bus from the city centre and get wet on the few meters from the bus stop to inside the mall.) Ideapark is even better if you are traveling with kids. When hunger strikes there are plenty of restaurants, caf\u00e9s and bakeries to choose from.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ai-optimize-13\">Sightseeing and activities<\/h2>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-14\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Tampere is worth touring by foot even when it\u2019s raining, so there\u2019s also the possibility you dress accordingly, grab a brolly and climb up the <strong>N\u00e4sinkallio<\/strong> rock to check out the view to the lake and to the tiny <strong>Siilinkari Light House<\/strong>. We are certain you\u2019ll love the rainy atmosphere of our city. Only few minutes from N\u00e4sinkallio you can explore <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/experience\/sarkanniemi-theme-park\/\"><strong>S\u00e4rk\u00e4nniemi amusement park<\/strong><\/a> area where you can visit <a href=\"https:\/\/visittampere.fi\/en\/attraction\/sarkanniemi-aquarium\/\">Aquarium<\/a> and N\u00e4sinneula observation tower whether it rains or shines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-15\">If you\u2019re feeling a bit crazy,<strong> Entertainment Centre Crazy <\/strong>offers fun activities for the whole family. <strong>Irti Maasta climbing centre<\/strong> at <strong>Tullintori shopping centre<\/strong>\u2018s central square gives you good exercise while having fun. At Tullintori you can also solve challenging tasks in <strong>Prison Island.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-16\">Finlayson area has fun things to do even if it rains. You can solve mysteries in <strong>Room Escape<\/strong> escape rooms with the whole family or start a fierce laser battle in<strong> ZBase<\/strong>. Check out also their original arcade games!<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-17\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">After you get tired of walking, hop on one of the <strong>city buses <\/strong>or <strong>tram<\/strong> for a cheap city tour. The Traveler Ticket doesn\u2019t cost too much and you can drive around as much as you like for 24 hours.
