NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS IN TAMPERE ON SATURDAY 4.5.

The year’s biggest museum event will take place on Saturday, May 4th.

Once again, there will be exciting programs from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Tickets:
Entrance fee (wristband) 15€
Wristband with Museum card 13€
Group ticket 48€ (max. 5 persons/group)
Children under 7 years: no entry fee

With the event wristband, you’ll have access to all the Night of the Museums venues and can use the buses.

Tampere regional transport has two buses driving the Night of the Museums-line – marked with an orange line on the map – from 6pm to 10.30pm. The first bus starts from the Museum Centre Vapriikki at 6pm, departures approximately every 25 minutes.

Explore the collections of Vapriikki Photo Archive. The entrance to the Photo Archive is at the southern end of the Vapriikki building, follow the Night of the Museums balloons and signs.

NOKKA PLAYS FOLKMUSIC
Folk music with recorders. Trio Nokka plays folk music from Finland and its neighboring areas with different recorders and other instruments.

TUNES WITH A GRAMOPHONE
Gramophone fever hit at the same time as the Great Depression in the 1930s. Come and listen to old records.

Join us on a guided tour to Charles Sandison´s exhibition. He is a Tampere-based media artist and one of the internationally best-known artists in Finland. His art has been described as “poetry of light”. Lowest floor of the museum.

GUIDED TOUR: TUULA LEHTINEN – WITH PLEASURE
Join us on a guided tour to our exhibition Tuula Lehtinen – With Pleasure. Lehtinen ventures to place beauty at the center of her works. The exhibition presents her career from the 1980s to the present decade. The upper lobby of the museum.
