Light Trail 2025

The lights will shine once again in the Tohloppi forest in October 2025!

The popular Tohloppi Light Trail event returns this year, showcasing light art from various artists under the theme “Planet Earth as a Spaceship.” Visitors can look forward to spectacular new light installations bringing joy and beauty to the darkest season of the year.

The Tohloppi Light Trail 2025 will be open to the public from 10 to 19 October 2025, daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission for adults is 4 euros, while entry is free for visitors under 18. You may also make an optional donation to support the event. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation.

The event is organized by Valotapahtuma ry in cooperation with its partners. Everyone is warmly welcome to enjoy an autumn evening walk and experience stunning light art by Lake Tohloppi in the Rasonhaa heritage forest, located at Ransunraitti 1.

Please note that the trail is not accessible and can be narrow and uneven in places. The event takes place on a real forest path with natural stones and roots that may be slippery, so walking is always at your own risk. The trail is illuminated and approximately 600 meters long, but please watch your step and be mindful of your own and others’ safety as you move along the path.

The Light Trail is once again built by volunteers for the joy of creating light art. The installations are realized in collaboration with several local artists, students, and companies.
