You are warmly welcome to relax at Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm in the picturesque countryside of Tuuhoskylä village in Ruovesi, Pirkanmaa. Our old ancestral home is on a peninsula of Lake Tarjanne, surrounded by forests and fields. We provide farm accommodation, sauna, and food experiences for those who wish to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Cosy guesthouse rooms and charming converted storehouses will remind you of days gone by, and invite you to enjoy a restful night’s sleep at our farm. You can also stay with a pet in some of our storehouse cabins for an additional fee. Our accommodation prices include bed linen and towels. In addition, our two-night accommodation includes an hour of sauna. In summer, you can enjoy the relaxation of the sauna on the shore of Lake Tarjanne with a a refreshing swim. Our farm also has a traditional smoke sauna which is available for bookings during the summer months.
Start your day with the farm’s delicious country breakfast, or take a seat at our traditional dinner table. Breakfast and dinner are served in the farm’s main house as buffet service. Please book your breakfast and dinner in advance and notice that they are not included in the accommodation price. You also have a kitchen in your use, where you can prepare your own food if you wish.
Hike in Helvetinjärvi National Park or in Pirkanmaa’s largest Swamp Nature Reserve, Siikaneva. Check out Vinha’s bookstore and participate in local events. Fall in love with versatile art in the Serlachius Museums, Mänttä Art Festival and other exhibitions.
