By train to Tampere

You can easily reach Tampere by train. The railway station is located in the heart of Tampere and offers excellent connections to all parts of the city.
You can catch the Nysse straight from Rautatienkatu; there’s also a tram stop right on the corner of the railway station. The taxi rank is also in front of the station building.
Renovation work around the railway station is altering familiar routes; you can find the current diversion routes at asemakorttelit.tampere.fi.
By bus to Tampere
Tampere’s central location ensures excellent and varied bus connections.
The long-distance coaches operate from the Tampere bus station, address Hatanpään valtatie 5-7.

By bus to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport
Please note that the airport bus service will no longer operate from August 2026 onwards.
Public transport in the Tampere region serves the airport. The direct airport bus service from Tampere city centre to the airport, operated by Nysse, is synchronised with flight timetables. Bus 103 travels via Tampere city centre to the railway station, from where it continues via the coach station on the most direct route to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, stopping right in front of the terminal. The journey from the railway station takes approximately 30 minutes.
The bus operates as a shuttle service, arriving at Tampere-Pirkkala approximately one hour before the flight departs. The bus will wait at the stop for the return flight. If the flight is delayed, the bus will wait for passengers within the limits of its timetable (up to 30 minutes). Check Nysse’s website for the latest information on routes and timetables.
By car to Tampere
Over the coming years, a number of major urban development and transport projects will be underway simultaneously in and around Tampere city centre, which will make our daily lives easier. When travelling around the city, please bear in mind that construction work is currently affecting traffic.

Flying to Tampere
Tampere Airport, officially Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, is the second largest international airport in Finland as almost 100% of its passengers are travelling internationally. Airport is located 17 km from Tampere city centre.
The airline airBaltic operates to and from Tampere.
Arrival at Nokia Arena

Thanks to its central location, Nokia Arena is extremely easy to reach, whether on foot or by public transport. From the nearest tram stop, Sorin aukio, it is just a few minutes’ walk to the arena, and most local buses stop near the arena. In addition, Tampere’s bus station and railway station are located next to the arena. Following concerts and major events, additional train services to Helsinki are arranged.
