Welcome to the Sauna Capital of the world!

Tampere became the world’s sauna capital in 2018. The title was earned thanks to the region’s high-quality saunas and the fact that it has the highest number of public saunas in the whole of Finland. Furthermore, Finland’s oldest public sauna still in operation is located in Tampere. The Sauna Capital status was awarded by the International Sauna Association and the Finnish Sauna Society.
