Shopping Centres

In December, Ratina Shopping Centre will have festive music and there will be an opportunity to write a letter to Santa. You can also meet Santa on Saturdays until 14th of December.

At Koskikeskus Shopping Centre, there’s also a festive holiday program lined up, featuring atmospheric music, wonderful gift ideas, and plenty of inspiration. Santa Claus will also be available to meet visitors on Saturdays until December 14th.

Ideapark is a shopping centre located in Lempäälä, near Tampere. Its Christmas traditions include, for example, the Christmas Market and Christmas concert! Children can spend time in Cultural Centre PiiPoo as well.

Brick and mortar stores

When you’re heading to the city centre of Tampere make sure you have the Tampere.Finland App on your phone. From the app you’ll find Tampere Pass with great discounts to many shops, restaurants and cafés. You can download the app from your Google Play -store or App Store.

Have you visited Aleksis Kiven katu street already? They call it the Soho of Tampere! Along this street you’ll find small shops with great selection of Finnish design and interior design as well as lovely cafés and restaurants. Visit for example Palmroth or Pispala Clothing shops!

Christmas Markets and events

Tampere Christmas Market is located in the central square, right in the heart of Tampere. At the Christmas Market you can enjoy the merry atmosphere and of course find Christmas presents for your loved ones. The Christmas Market has many artists and craftspeople present to sell their unique Finnish artworks and products.

You can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere also in the Finlayson area. They have a lovely Christmas square with lights and video art, as well as pop up shops. Make sure to visit the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas and their museum shop, too!

Christmas time in the Tallipiha Stable Yards is always magical. Artisan products are sold by their makers and delicious chocolates can be found from Suklaapuoti chocolate shop. There’s a Hohde Christmas shop as well.

Gift Cards are always appreciated

Experience Amazing City’s Roof Walk together, do sports in Varala or book a hotel weekend in Tampere! You can also get tickets or gift cards to Tampere Theater, Tampere Factory Workers’ Theater or concert tickets to Tampere Hall or G Livelab. For daredevils a ticket to Särkänniemi is an excellent present.
