MapMielahti Beach is located on Lake Jämijärvi next to the Mielahti cottages. The beach consists of wonderfully soft sand from the ridge. The water is shallow near the shore, making the beach well-suited for families with children. However, parents are encouraged to remain vigilant, because the water gets a lot deeper after a while. A cold brook with clear water from a spring runs into the lake, which is ideal if you want a cool dip. Mielahti is a good place to start off with your SUP board or kayak into the water.
There is also a barbecue shelter for preparing snacks in Mielahti. Please note that you must bring your own firewood. The beach has a dressing room and a dry toilet. It is important to note that the beach is not lifeguarded.
