The Oiva Toikka’s Bird nest is a permanent exhibition of glass birds designed by artist and professor Oiva Toikka. It tells the story of both the birds and Oiva Toikka himself. Toikka’s birds were produced in Nuutajärvi for more than 40 years. The first mass-produced flycatchers took flight in 1972, beginning the birds’ migration across the world.
