Myllysaari Museum - Visit Tampere

Myllysaari Museum

Myllysaari Museum is situated in an old factory building by the canal which is the birthplace of industrial activity in Valkeakoski.

The main exhibit at the Myllysaari Museum depicts the history of the town of Valkeakoski and the historical region of Sääksmäki. The exhibition is a journey from the Iron Age to modern times with artifacts, objects, photos, multimedia and audio experiences.

There are also changing exhibitions all year round. There’s even a real life gondola at the museum, given to Valkeakoski by the industrial patron Juuso Walden in 1963.
