Feel the summer vibes in summer cafés! We have many lovely little cafés here in Tampere during summer time. Sit down, relax, have a cup of coffee or an ice cream and just enjoy yourself. By the lake

Summer café TÖNÖ – A summer café built inside a shipping container on the shores of Pyhäjärvi lake in Eteläpuisto area. The café serves delicious salads, toasts and more. Enjoy summer days with refreshing cold drinks and ice cream! Versatile events and live music will take place throughout the summer.

Summer café Pyynikin Hiekkarannat – Open every day at Pyynikki beach, weather permitting, until the end of August. Ice cream, gelato, coffee as well as beach food available.

Eliander ice cream kiosk – During the summer, the kiosk at Eliander beach in Onkiniemi offers ice cream and refreshments, as well as beers and ciders from Plevna Brewery.

Hempee ice cream kioski – In Hiedanranta, this ice cream kiosk offers treats such as cookie ice cream sandwiches, artisan ice creams and various coffee drinks. You can also borrow picnic blankets and different games from the kiosk. It’s easy to get there by tram, too!

While visiting Arboretum

Summer café at Hatanpää mansion – At the summer café and terrace, you can enjoy both savoury and sweet treats, such as bubble waffles, various pastries, baked potato dishes, ice creams, and other refreshments. Please note that the café is occasionally closed due to private events.

Summer café Arboretum – This summer café operates in a former hospital sauna building dating back to the 1920s, next to the rose garden behind Hatanpää Mansion. The café serves pastries, small savoury snacks, ice cream, and soft drinks. It is recommended to check the café’s opening hours on its Facebook page.

In the countryside

Liuttu farmhouse (Liutun Maalaistalo) – A lovely old farm house located in Teisko, where you’ll find a café, a vintage style shop and a little museum with some old tools. There are donkeys, sheep and chicken to keep you company. The café is open on weekends between 12–16.
