The historic Finlayson Area, with its distinctive red-brick buildings on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids, has been transformed into a vibrant hub of culture, events and creative industries.

Located just a short walk from the city centre, the Pyynikki ridge is one of the world’s highest gravel eskers. With its scenic nature trails, the area is a popular destination for walking, hiking and outdoor activities throughout the year.

At the top of the ridge stands the Pyynikki Observation Tower, offering spectacular views over lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. Be sure to stop by the tower café, famous for its delicious handmade doughnuts.
