Tampere Christmas Opening 22.11.2026
Tampere’s traditional Christmas opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, 21 November, at 16-18. The Christmas Parade will set off at 16 from the main library Metso and make its way all the way to Keskustori Central Square, where the final seconds will be counted together before the Christmas tree lights are switched on.
Santa Claus will also make an appearance on stage, along with a variety of other festive entertainment. This year, the programme will expand from the Central Square to Laikunpuisto park, offering plenty of wonder and festive cheer until 18.
Tampere Christmas Market 21.11.–22.12.2026
Tampere Christmas Market fills the Keskustori Central Square with warm and cozy Christmas atmosphere! Little wooden booths are filled with handicrafts, design, jewellery, treats, toys and much more from Finland and abroad. You can also try the delicious dishes and snacks of the cafés and restaurants in the area or enjoy the daily programme.
Tallipiha Stable Yards’ Christmas 14.11.–23.12.2026
In the beautiful wooden houses of Tallipiha Stable Yards you can find shops, boutiques and a café with delicious treats, hot beverages and freshly baked goods. Little booths at the yard are filled with quality handicrafts and design. Find perfect Christmas gifts!
At Tallipiha Stable Yards, you can meet animal friends such as Torsti and Ensio the sheep, Vilho the donkey and Lassi the pony.
Doghill Christmas 11.–13.12. & 18.–20.12.2026
Doghill Christmas takes you to traditional Finnish Christmas at the Doghill Fairytale Farm at Särkänniemi amusement park! There you’ll meet Doghill’s animal friends. Doghill Christmas is full of fun activities and entertainment.
