It’s crazy, it’s party!

Besides Nokia Arena, the final result of UMK is also eagerly awaited at UMK parties outside the arena. At Tavara-asema, the performances will be shown on a giant screen, and later in the evening, there will be a Eurovision Disco by DJ Sara-Maaria. There will be other programme as well.

People will also gather at Tuulensuu Palace to see who will represent Finland in Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. Before the live broadcast and after, appropriate music will be played, allowing you to dance your heart out on the dance floor with other Eurovision Fans. The stylish bar counter at the palace will serve the thirsty, and you can order some snacks from the kitchen.

UMK party will also be organized at G Livelab Tampere, with the best sound system in the country. The event and cloakroom are free of charge, and has no age limit. Before the broadcast, the fantastic Anna Inginmaa & Hypnomen will perform starting at 6pm.

You can also watch UMK at Mixei, which is Finland’s oldest still-operating LGBTQ+ nightclub.

Additionally, you can enjoy the live UMK broadcast at TTT-Klubi, starting at 9pm. UMK viewing party will also be held at Hönö Bar, where the best Eurovision-themed outfit will be awarded!

Right next to Nokia Arena, at Shooters Bar, pre-parties will be held on both Friday and Saturday. Eurovision and UMK-themed drinks and music available, of course!

In restaurant Periscope’s UMK pre-party, you have the opportunity to enjoy rosé sparkling wine and pink pavlova while listening to UMK hits – and of course the amazing Tampere scenery. The restaurant will be dressed in pink, and the playlist will feature UMK hits from over the years. Join the party on Friday and Saturday!

Helga-Neiti’s boutique transforms into a UMK viewing party on Saturday! Style is encouraged as the evening’s most Eurovision-worthy outfit will be rewarded with a gift card!

Wow!

On Saturday, there’s a UMK-themed pop-up event on the art tram. DJ Juissi and the art tram will transport passengers through the history of UMK! The art tram operates on line 3 between Hervantajärvi and Santalahti on Saturday. The tram departs from Hervantajärvi at 2:05pm. From Santalahti, the tram departs back towards Hervanta at 2:47pm and arrives in Hervantajärvi at 3:21pm. You can recognize the art tram by the Teemu Rauhaskoski’s Värivirta artwork on its sides.

The Tammerkoski rapids will be illuminated in the colors of UMK. Additionally, the theme will be visible in the light curtains along Hämeenkatu. Näsinneula, the main building of Tampere University, Tampere Hall, Original Sokos Hotel Ilves, and Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere will also shine in pink and purple.

Thirsty or hungry?

Get in the UMK atmosphere at the UMK buffet at restaurant Saivo at Lapland Hotels Arena. The chef has tailored a tasty and delicious buffet for UMK visitors. The buffet is served on Saturday, February 10 between 2 and 8pm. See the menu here.

There’s a great Eurovision atmosphere at Original Sokos Hotel Ilves, too. On Friday and Saturday at Lynx, the DJ will be playing Eurovision-themed music from 3pm to 8pm. Additionally, you can enjoy breakfast with Eurovision hits playing in the background. Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere will be illuminated in pink and purple, and Torni’s 25th-floor Moro Sky Bar will be shining in the same colors. DJ will also take care of the great atmosphere with Eurovision hits! Enjoy UMK-themed cocktails at Moro Sky Bar, Grill it! Paja Bar, Pub Ukko Nooa, and Ilves Bar & Nightclub! By the way, the drinks are called The Wannabe Host and Jere Vantaalta, translated as Jere from Vantaa. Both drinks are also available in non-alcoholic versions.

In the Olympic Quarter’s cocktail bar Tiima, there are a couple of special Eurovision-themed drinks available throughout the weekend. Don’t forget the Tampere classic, Muusa‘s brunch!

At Tampere Market Hall, you can enjoy a Eurovision brunch, as Café de Halle‘s popular brunch joins in the Eurovision excitement with a rich selection of savory and sweet treats, a candy buffet, and drinks Additionally, Heart of Spain offers the most delicious tapas for Eurovision pre-partygoers, Juustosoppi serves champagne with cheese, and Maahan Deli offers delicious pasta at a discounted price for UMK-visitors. Museums

The Manserock exhibition opens at Museum Centre Vapriikki on February 9, just in time for the UMK weekend! Get to know the nationally famous rock-music – from Tampere, of course! Between 12 and 3pm, you can join the Eurovision badge workshop to create your own support badge for this sping. Finland, 12 points! Additionally, the museum restaurant offers theme-appropriate delights as part of the weekend specials, such as pink sparkling wine and princess pastries. Don’t forget to visit the Finnish Postal Museum as well!

Did you know that the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas is the only museum in Finland that houses an LGBTIQ+ collection? Werstas is responsible for the nationwide documentation of the history of Finnish gender and sexual minorities.

Ratina shopping centre’s The Wannabe Eurovision Host City event will take place on Saturday, 10th of February between 11am and 5pm. Tampere Factory Workers’ Theatre TTT’s children’s band called The School of Rock will perform, Leevi Lehtonen, known from TikTok will have a show and meet and greet. Additionally, Finnish YouTube stars Ella & Helmi will have a fashion show with famous influencers as models. There will also be a DJ creating Eurovision atmosphere!

The Main Library Metso will be filled with Eurovision atmosphere on Thursday, February 8. There will be lunch with DJ, Eurovision Bingo and music by library’s live band.

Make sure to visit saunas while in Tampere! The Sauna Capital of the World invites everyone to its cozy warmth. Tampere is full of public saunas, with almost 60 throughout the region. Join the local way of life at Rauhaniemi Folk Spa, or start your day with a morning sauna session or delicious treats at Sauna-restaurant Kuuma.

The new Design on Tampere Map will be published this weekend. There will be special programme from glitter makeup to Eurovision viewing parties and pop-up stores, for example. Pispala Clothing also has a sale with music, snacks, refreshments and coffee by the local Kahwe. Pets are also welcomed!

Unisex on Rautatienkatu street is also joining The Wannabe Eurovision Host City frenzy with some offers and theme colors.
