Tampere Airport, officially Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, is the second largest international airport in Finland as almost 100 % of its passengers are travelling internationally. In total passenger numbers it is the fourth biggest in Finland.

The airport is located approximately 17 km away from the city center of Tampere, and it is easy to reach from the west and the north, too. Transportation connections make it ideal from all directions.

Year-round there are daily flight connections to Helsinki, Finland and several flights a week to Riga, Latvia. There are also all-year-round direct flights from Tampere to Copenhagen and Munich three times a week and to Amsterdam, Málaga and Rhodes twice a week. Additionally, there are all-year-round flights to Stansted, London, UK.

Tampere-Pirkkala airport is very important for the region’s economy and an important connection point to Europe. The airport is a joint airfield, which serves both civil and military aviation.
