Tampere, the Sauna Capital of the World, is cheering on Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen on the Eurovision stage in Vienna! The Eurovision buzz can be seen and heard all across the city as bars open their doors for viewing parties and the nights go on late filled with music. Tampere offers a wide range of experiences throughout Eurovision week, building the atmosphere all the way to the grand finale.
The city’s best viewing parties
To celebrate the Eurovision, bars across the city are once again opening their doors for viewing parties. We have gathered up the best spots where you can enjoy the show together with other fans.
Irish Bar O’Connel’s offers a great Eurovision atmosphere, themed drinks, pub food and of course the show on a big screen. The viewing party will be held during both semi-finals as well as the grand final.
Comedy Theatre Palace will host a Eurovision party on the final night, May 16. In addition to watching the broadcast, the event will include a Eurovision-themed quiz and disco. The evening will be hosted by Gekko Paavilainen. Event is open for everyone, but you can guarantee your sport with a table reservation!
At Old Mates, Eurovision fever fills the venue on Tuesday and Saturday. The viewing party continues for as long as the night goes on and the kitchen has you covered if you get hungry!
Frank the Lobster is the place to catch every moment of the action, with viewing parties for both semifinals and the grand final. Sip on a cold drink and challenge your friends in a game of darts while you watch!
At Shooters Bar Eurovision will be shown on a big screen and across all TV screens, complemented by high-quality sound system. Doors will open at 20 on both semifinal nights and night of the final with a playlist of Eurovision classics setting the tone before the live broadcast begins.
Rymy-Eetu hosts a viewing party on the final night, as the After Ski-karaoke bar is transformed into a special viewing space for one night. Guests can get into the spirit of the event with glitter makeup and festivities continue well after the broadcast, lasting into the early hours of the morning.
The Eurovision Grand Final will be shown on the terrace of Paja Bar on Finland’s largest mobile screen. During the live broadcast, the program will include Eurovision bingo as well as themed drinks created for the occasion. In addition, the restaurants at Torni offer a chance to enjoy Eurovision in a show & dinner style: spend the evening at Paja Bar with great food and the excitement of the contest, or start your night with an à la carte dinner at Grill It! restaurant.
At Mixei, Finland’s oldest still-operating LGBTQ+ nightclub, the Eurovision Grand Final will be shown starting at 21, with the live broadcast beginning at 22. The dance floor opens immediately after the show.
The Eurovision broadcast will be shown on a large screen on the terrace at Ruby & Fellas, and during the show there will be a special offer on a bottle of the house wine.
Both both semifinals and Saturday’s final will be shown on a big screen at DAM bar, both indoors and outdoors. Gather your friends and enjoy the atmosphere, drinks, and Eurovision buzz at DAM!
At Katubaari Axu, located in Kaleva, the Eurovision final will be shown on a screen, and Eurovision-themed music will be playing all evening right up until the broadcast begins.
Saturday’s Eurovision final will also be shown at Downtown, located by the Viihdemaailma Ilona.
Henkka’s upstairs is also joining in the Eurovision excitement!

The Eurovision vibe starts from the sauna
Before the Eurovision broadcast starts there’s nothing better than unwinding in a sauna and the Sauna Capital of the World, Tampere, offers plenty to choose from. In fact, there are nearly 70 public saunas across the region! At Kaupinoja sauna, you can dive into local life and take a refreshing dip in the waters of Näsijärvi straight from the sauna. Rajaportti sauna, on the other hand, is a true historical gem as it’s the oldest public sauna in Finland still in use today. If you’re in the mood for a morning sauna, Saunaravintola Kuuma offers a possibility for that right in the heart of the city.
