The Evangelical Lutheran church in Aitolahti is new – it was consecrated in September 2001. The church was designed by architects Erkki Karvala, Markku Koskinen and Juha Röysä.
The most dominating element of the church is the massive redbrick wall, which gave the church its name Suojamuuri, which translates to ‘Protective wall’.
