Hakavuori in Siuro is a slate cliff offering stunning views over Lake Kulovesi and the Nokianvirta river.
Located just south of the Ruutana Nature Reserve, Hakavuori is a great destination for a short nature trip. The volcanic terrain is varied, featuring cliff faces and an ancient shoreline formed by water-rounded stones. The forests range from lush hazel groves to leafy heaths and dry rocky pinewoods. From the top, you can admire beautiful vistas of both Nokianvirta and Kulovesi.
Along the Hakavuori Nature Trail, you’ll find five information boards about the area’s nature and geology. The easy 0.8-kilometre path makes the site accessible to many visitors.
