The Hervantajärvi area is widely used for walking, skiing, mountain biking and trail running, and the area’s routes naturally lead to south, along the “border of the three municipalities” of Kangasala and Lempäälä.
In the area there are about 10 km of guided hiking trails and two fireplaces, of which Viitastenperä has a unique, organically designed lean-to shelter complex with wooden sheds and dry toilets.
