Espionage has influenced every essential area of society. In politics, economy, warfare as well as in competition in business and ideology, one person or a technical device has been able to alter the direction of development and the world even more than official governments.
The first spy museum was opened in 1998 in order to commemorate these legendary characters, their tools and methods. It is fitting that it was created in a country that has been, due to its geopolitical and technological status, a busy playground for espionage.
