Tampere Festival of Light
This year, the Tampere Festival of Light opening festival will bring light to the darkness of October over ten consecutive evenings. The opening festival includes the opening ceremony, the Equality walking route, the Gymnastics Victory Celebration event, and Dancing Fountains, a familiar show from previous years.
The free opening festival takes place 23.10.–1.11. at 18-21.
The illuminations can be admired from the opening until Epiphany 2027.
Moomins around Keskustori Central Square
The buildings around the Keskustori Central Square will be adorned with charming Moomin illuminations on Independence Day, 6 December, and will remain on display until 7.1.2027. The installations are based on Tove Jansson’s original drawings from the 1957 book Moominland Midwinter.
Tohloppi light trail
Enjoy the evenings in the forest along the Tohloppi light trail 9.–18.10, at 18-22. The theme of the 2026 light trail is Roots.
Admission fee €5, free for under 18.
Projection show in the Finlayson area
The charming light art installation Kissan kujeet will be projected in the Finlayson area on autumn evenings. The installation will be projected onto the wall of Väinö Linnan aukio square every day 1.9.–11.10.2026, at 20-22.
