Wow!
The City of Tampere will light up the Tammerkoski rapids in UMK colors, and other city landmarks will also glow in pink and purple. For example, Solo Sokos Hotel Torni, Original Sokos Hotel Ilves, Finlayson Area and Keskustori Central Square Fountain will shine in UMK colors. In addition, landmarks such as Näsinneula, Tampere Hall, Hämeenpuisto fountain, the lamp posts along Hämeenkatu and Hatanpään valtatie, and the spotlights at Laikunlava square as well as the Ratina and Koskikeskus shopping centers, will glow pink and purple.
This year, pink bows will decorate well-known statues around Tampere. You can spot bows on the statues on Hämeensilta bridge, the Minna Canth statue in Hämeenpuisto, the Tampere sculpture in Työnpuisto, as well as the statues in Sorsapuisto including the famous Moomintroll. The Tampere Tram will be joining the UMK-fever with UMK-themed Art Tram pop-up performances on Friday and Saturday, 27–28 February. Local DJ Juissi and the Art Tram will take passengers on a musical journey in UMK and Eurovision fever, and even the tram drivers will be dressed for the occasion with pink bows. The Art Tram runs on line 3 between Sorin Aukio square and Hervantajärvi. It departs Sorin Aukio at 11.55 and returns at 12.28. On Saturday, departure is at 11.56, with the return at 12.28.
On Saturday before the big moment, there’s action at Sorin aukio square next to Nokia Arena! Local DJs will be entertaining at Sorin aukio with UMK bangers and Eurovision classics – songs everyone knows and loves. Come party before heading to the arena!

Parties and viewing events
In addition to Nokia Arena, the UMK final results will also be followed at parties outside the arena! Events will be listed here as they are confirmed.
The UMK spirit will already be celebrated at Desibeli on Thursday, 26 February between 19-22 with a Sing Along event. The lyrics will be shown and the songs will be sung together. On Saturday, the UMK final will also be watched together at the UMK viewing part. Free entry will be available to both events.
At G Livelab, you can experience the UMK final with top-class sound! Free entry to the event and cloakroom, and the watch party is open to all ages, just like G Livelab concerts.
At Mixei, Finland’s oldest still active LGBTQ nightclub, preparations for the UMK weekend begin already on Friday with UMK pre-parties. On Saturday, UMK will be followed on the screen, and the party continues after the broadcast until the early hours of the morning.
A great atmosphere is guaranteed at DAM bar’s viewing party, as the UMK final will be shown on a large screen.
Rymy-Eetu will host parties according to the theme on Friday and Saturday, 27–28 February. Expect Eurovision-themed programming with a DJ and a party band, a UMK watch party on a big screen, a quiz, and karaoke, of course
Irish Bar O’Connell’s offers a great UMK atmosphere, theme-inspired drinks, pub food, and of course the competition shown on a big screen.
Frank The Lobster will be packed with UMK excitement on Saturday, February 28. The evening will feature special UMK-themed drinks, a drink prize for the best-dressed guest, and of course a viewing party for the UMK final. Pre-parties will begin at 16, and entry to the event will be free.
At Periscope, you can watch the UMK Grand Final at a public viewing in the stunning setting of the 7th floor Lounge Bar!
At Sailor’s Bar & Grill, the UMK Grand Final will be shown on screen. In addition to the regular drink selection, special beverages will be available to match the festive atmosphere.
The legendary Kaijakka will be open on UMK Saturday, serving guests throughout the evening and night with both pre- and after-parties. The evening will kick off with karaoke at 18, and later the upstairs disco will also open with a DJ.
Right next to Nokia Arena, Shooters Bar will host pre- and after-parties with UMK-songs playing all evening. You’ll also meet fellow fans here!
At Tavara-asema, celebrations will take place on Saturday, 28 February, at the Hello Europe, it’s Tampere Calling party. The atmosphere is complemented by a UMK-themed drink and a sparkling wine offer.
UMK pre-parties and after-parties will be hosted at Moro Sky Bar! The bar will be lit up in UMK colours, and specially designed cocktails and mocktails will be available for the occasion.
UMK pre-party will also be held at Lynx Bar & Café at Hotel Ilves, with more information to be announced later.
At Boomers Bar, UMK Saturday is celebrated with themed drinks and Linda-cider setting the mood.

Eat & drink
Many Tampere restaurants will once again offer UMK-themed special deals, drinks, and food. We’ll update them here as they’re announced.
Atmos Brewing has developed a music-themed gin, which you can sample, for example, at a gin tasting as well as throughout the UMK weekend at Desibeli and the Atmos Tap Room. More information is available from Atmos.
Restaurant Saivo at Lapland Hotels Arena will offer a Northern Flavours buffet during UMK. Check out the menu and reserve your table here.
Bistro Venla will serve a variety of delicious UMK-themed treats and drinks from Thursday to Saturday, 26–28 February.
At Moro Sky Bar and Paja Bar at Sokos Hotel Torni, three different drinks are designed around the UMK theme and will be served during UMK week.
At Neula Sky Café in Näsinneula, you can enjoy a glass of the luxurious Restaurant Näsinneula Cava for €7. A selection of small savoury and sweet treats is also available to accompany the bubbles. During the UMK weekend, the entrance fee is offered at a discounted price of €2 per person.
Restaurant Puisto will be serving the gin-based classic Floradora Fever cocktail for €10, adding a festive touch to UMK final day. Meanwhile, Puisto by Night will set the mood for the UMK weekend with a DJ on Friday and Saturday from 20-02. Puisto by Night is an excellent choice for UMK pre- and after-parties – offering great music, sparkling drinks, and delicious pintxos.
Things to do
The pre-party will take place at the Museum Centre Vapriikki on Saturday, February 28. In addition to a guided tour of the Manserock exhibition, there will be an awesome themed pin workshop. The museum restaurant Valssi will be selling pink treats and festive drinks for the big contest day.
Koskikeskus shopping centre is joining in on the UMK weekend celebrations! On Saturday, February 28, a choir will perform familiar hits from Eurovision and UMK at 13 and 14. At 14-15, a DJ will set the UMK mood, and at 12-16, the Glow Up station will be offering festive hair and makeup to get you celebration-ready.
The Siilinkarin kahvio café, located next to Siilinkari lighthouse on Näsijärvi lake, is joining UMK fun this year! The café is run by Hiking Travel HIT, and they also offer equipment rental for winter activities.
A private guided tour, “Love, desire and identity — A Queer-themed guided tour through the Moomin stories” is available at the Moomin Museum. During the tour, queer and LGBTQIA+ themes are explored through the life of Tove Jansson during the years when the Moomin books were created. More information is available here.
During the UMK weekend, you can visit the Näsinneula observation tower at a discounted price of €2 per person (normally €7.90).
Sauna!
The Sauna Capital of the World, Tampere, invites everyone to enjoy its cozy warmth! Tampere is full of public saunas – nearly 70 across the whole region.
Shopping
Poppanachic Shop celebrates the UMK buzz by offering a small surprise gift to anyone who purchases a Love Patch sweatshirt throughout February.
The Chocolate Shop at Tallipiha Stable Yards, Tallipihan Suklaapuoti, is bursting with vibrant colors and delightful variety of flavors! The selection features chocolates in pink and purple, with the taste of berry pannacotta, crème brûlée, raspberry mousse, and salted caramel. The pink chocolate selection is available in both Stable Yards and Market Hall as well as in the online store.
Helga-Neiti Second Hand & Vintage is joining the buzz! On Saturday, the atmosphere heats up at Helga-Neiti’s UMK pre-party, featuring music, bubbly drinks, and a special UMK raffle. Tampere’s oldest second hand boutique is offering theme-inspired outfits for UMK week. In the shop window, you can admire the stunning crystal outfit seen in Kiki’s music video, created by Tampere-based designer Sirene Chains.
Remember this!
VR has added an extra train service on Saturday from Tampere to Helsinki after the event. Train IC 188 departs Tampere on Saturday 28 February at 23.59 and arrives in Helsinki at 2.10. If you plan to stay overnight in Tampere, read more about accommodation options here.
