Relax at the warmth of the Sauna Capital

Did you know that Finnish sauna culture has been included into UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage? What better place to experience sauna than Tampere, the Sauna Capital of the World! There are almost 70 public saunas in the Tampere region that can be visited all year round.

One of the easiest places to experience the Finnish sauna is the Sauna-Restaurant Kuuma in Laukontori, where relaxation and pampering are offered to all of the senses. The modern concept combines Finnish sauna experience, Nordic gastronomy and beautiful lake views. A more traditional Finnish sauna can be experienced in the Rajaportti sauna, which by the way is Finland’s oldest public sauna still in operation. Another favorite of the people of Tampere is located in Rauhaniemi, where the Rauhaniemi Folk Spa offers its visitors the most atmospheric sauna experience in Tampere, as well as great landscapes to Lake Näsijärvi.
