How to spend a day in Viikinsaari?

Getting familiar with Viikinsaari is best done by strolling down the nature trail and the meditation trail. By the pathways there are many delightful swimming spots to spend an easygoing summer day. Viikinsaari also has a beach sauna. You can book it for private use or head to sauna during public hours. Along with bays and paths there are game fields, a mini golf course and a kids fun park. Equipment rental is at Info where you can rent balls, frisbees, darts, games and many water activities for a reasonable price.

While in Viikinsaari, it is worthwhile to pop in the Pyhäjärvi Chapel. A former jail has been transformed into a chapel by a local artist Ilkka Väätti, and it is a true piece of art. Also in the Info building there is an Art Gallery.
