Wow!
The city of Tampere will light up Tammerkoski rapids in UMK colors. The theme will also shine through in Hämeenkatu streets’s light curtains. Other landmarks around the city, such as Näsinneula, Original Sokos Hotel Ilves, Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere, Ratina and Koskikeskus shopping centres, Finlayson area, Tampere University City centre campus, Tampere Hall and Technopolis will glow in pink and purple.
Many well-known statues will wear pink bow ties this year for UMK! You can spot the bow ties on the statues on Hämeensilta Bridge, the Minna Canth statue in Hämeenpuisto, the Tampere sculpture in Työnpuisto, as well as the statues in Sorsapuisto including the famous Moomintroll.
On Saturday, something exciting happens at Sorin aukio square near Nokia Arena! Local DJs Juissi & Jykke will fill the square with UMK bangers and Eurovision classics – songs everyone knows and loves.

Eurovision pre-parties and viewing parties
In addition to Nokia Arena, you can also follow the UMK final results at pre-parties outside the arena. Enjoy UMK with Finland’s best sound system at G Livelab. Entry and cloakroom are free-of-charge.
At Tavara-asema, enjoy UMK fever with the Hang the DJ presents: Hello Europe, it’s Tampere calling! event. The event offers amazing deals, including the Tampere Calling! cocktail (2 for €12), Tampere Calling! mocktail (2 for €6), and two glasses of sparkling wine for the price of one.
UMK vibes will also take over Mixei, Finland’s oldest LGBTQ+ nightclub still in operation, where the party continues after the UMK final. Mixei offers free entry on Saturday for members of the Eurovision fan club OGAE Finland with a Cardskipper membership card, plus discounts on tap drinks.
At Shooters Bar, right next to Nokia Arena, you’ll find pre- and after-parties with Finland’s Eurovision hits and the best qualifying songs playing all evening. Meet other Eurovision fans here! Shooters also offers OGAE Finland members discounts on tap drinks, house white and red wines, and surprise deals with the Cardskipper card.
At Las Palmas at Keskustori, you can sing Eurovision songs at the pre- and after-parties! There’s also a Eurovision-themed music bingo on February 8th at 8pm. Next door at Hovipoika, you can watch the UMK-final as well.
The UMK final will also be watched from above the rooftops of Tampere at restaurant Periscope. On Saturday, a DJ will play UMK hits from 5pm to 9pm, followed by a live viewing of the final in the 7th-floor Lounge from 9pm onwards.
Bar Vilho, Henkka, and restaurant Daisy are also part of the celebration.
Food and drinks
At Olympic quarter’s cocktail bar Tiima, special Eurovision-themed drinks are available all weekend. Don’t forget the local classic, Muusa’s brunch!
At Museum Milavida, a unique destination located in the historic Finlayson factory area, you can explore the main exhibition showcasing the cosmopolitan Nottbeck family’s life. At Café Milavida, OGAE Finland members can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on Friday and Saturday for €5 with a Cardskipper membership card.
Restaurant Myllärit joins the Eurovision spirit with a 15% discount on food and drinks for Eurovision club members showing their Cardskipper card.
Dining26, which dives into Mediterranean culinary cultures, also offers a 10% discount on food and a glass of champagne when presenting the Cardskipper membership card.
At Original Sokos Hotel Ilves’ Lynx Bar & Café, Eurovision music sets the tone for the UMK25 pre-party on Saturday, February 8, from 2pm to 7 pm. Get into the festive spirit with sweet and savory treats. The menu also features drinks themed for the occasion! Eurovision hits will be played during the hotel breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
UMK-themed drinks are available at Moro Sky Bar on the 25th floor of Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere and at Paja Bar on the ground floor. Additionally, Lynx Bar & Café, Ukko Nooa and the Ilves Night nightclub at Original Sokos Hotel Ilves are swerving themed cocktails.
Saivo Kitchen & Bar of Moments at Lapland Hotels Arena offers a northern flavor themed UMK buffet on Saturday from 3pm to 8pm. Savor the tastes of the North alongside the unique experience! Check the event menu on Saivo’s website and reserve your table in advance.
AhlmanEdu’s Restaurant Anna serves a delicious Eurovision-inspired brunch on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Be sure to book your spot by January 30.
At restaurant Puisto and Bacaro Doppio, located in the first floor of Sokos departments store, you can buy pink gelato! Additionally, during week 6, S-Etukortti cardholders can enjoy sparkling wine for a special price of €18.90 at the following restaurants: Sokos4, Bacaro Doppio, Puisto, Hovipoika, Las Palmas, and La Famiglia. At La Famiglia, there’s also a special offer for two, including a bottle of white or red wine and antipasto, all for just 30 euros.
At Bistro Venla, you can enjoy a violet blueberry spritz, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. Additionally, they offer a strawberry baked cheesecake with blueberry sauce.

Sauna
As the world’s sauna capital, Tampere invites everyone to enjoy its warm and relaxing saunas! There are almost 70 public saunas in the region.
When was the last time you visited an authentic smoke sauna? Niemi-Kapee in Teisko hosts a smoky Eurovision sauna on Sunday of the UMK weekend. The public sauna is open to all, with the Eurovision atmosphere and steam taking center stage! Space in the cozy smoke sauna is limited, so be sure to register early. On Friday evening, AhlmanEdu will heat up its smoke sauna and traditional sauna. Alongside the steam, you can relax in a hot tub and warm jacuzzi. Be sure to pre-purchase tickets for the mixed sauna from AhlmanEdu’s online store. Sauna tickets are also included in AhlmanEdu’s special weekend accommodation packages.
On Friday, you can take part in the UMK-inspired sauna at Rajaportti sauna. On Saturday, the sauna experience is accompanied by Anne-Mari Kivimäki’s music. This is a multi-sensory sauna experience where you might not see the sauna host or the musician.

Music is at the heart of Museum Centre Vapriikki, where you can explore Tampere’s music history in the Manserock exhibition. On Saturday’s UMK pre-party, public guided tours of the Manserock exhibition take place at 11am and 12pm. In addition, Museum Restaurant Valssi will offer pink treats and festive drinks for the big day! From 1pm to 3pm, join the Eurovision badge workshop to create your own support badge for the upcoming contest! Finland 12 points! Vapriikki’s UMK pre-party program is included in the entrance fee.
Did you know the world’s only Moomin Museum is located in Tampere? It’s a unique place to experience Moomin stories and see Tove Jansson’s works as she created them. Additionally, this year is the 80th anniversary of the Moomin stories!
